What's New at Pacific Board Cameras ?
VPC 46x series board cameras discontinued
Pacific have announced that they will discontinue the VPC 46x series of cameras;
this range of products includes:-
- VPC 460 C
- VPC 465 C
- VPC 460 CIR
- VPC 465 CIR
- VPC 460 F
- VPC 465 F
Included are all lens variants including pinhole versions. Very limited quantities of the above cameras are available for a last time buy on a first come, first served basis.
An alternative board camera has been developed which broadly replaces VPC 46x. This camera is PC 17x. it is available in CCIR format (PC 175) and EIA (PC 170) and has largely the same features as VPC 465 / 460, such as:-
- 42 x 42 mm single board format
- 1/3" SONY CCD
- External sync
- utilises the same lenses
Main differences are:-
- Different connector
- No manual gain control
- Much higher sensitivity
Our engineers believe that the improved sensitivity on PC 17x will in most cases negate the requirement for lack of manual gain control. Price of PC 175 / 170 is the same as VPC 465 C/ 460 C. Click here to see the data sheet for PC 175.

Problems sourcing SONY, HITACHI
or PANASONIC board cameras?
Some Japanese manufactureres have ceased producing board cameras and for this reason, Pacific has developed some products designed to be replacements for products from other manufacturers which are now obsolete. In particular, if you have been using SONY CCB M37 series cameras or Panasonic GPCX series board cameras then Pacific may have the replacement board camera for you.
